Dear Parents
Hello Parents, This is an online resource for your grade 2 child to complete a unit in procedural writing/texts for English Language Arts (ELA). On this website you will find activities to do with your child, activities for your child to do independently, and an assortment of links to further your child's understanding. I've listed the outcomes (find down below) that the activities would be covering in school for those interested. You can also find a section "Learning Targets" at the top to help guide what your child should be doing throughout the activities. This isn't meant to be stressful in any form - do as much as your child is willing. There is also no timeline on each activity... if your child is frustrated with one activity move on to another or start that activity again the next day. Speaking & Listening

Reading & Viewing

Writing

explore, clarify and reflect on their thoughts, feelings and experiences and learnings.

- 1.2 describe a personal experience in sequential order, and offer an opinion about an idea with at least two to three supporting details [Note to Teacher: Be mindful of different communication styles.]
